Fact 1: 61% of low-income families do not own a single book for their children. This makes a well-stocked school library a critical resource for low-income families.
Fact 2: Since 2008, more than 80% of schools nationwide have experienced cuts to their budgets. The arts are continuously the first to be diced on the chopping block. The decline of arts education has been felt most severely in low-performing, low-income schools. Children at underfunded schools consistently lack access to art and affordable art-making activities.
With your financial support, we can help bridge the gap by making picture books and art supplies more accessible to the deprived communities, including inner-city schools and poor rural towns where the need is the most acute.

A small $20 donation will allow us to provide the following gifts to children and schools in need:
- 2 copies of hardcover picture book “Shipwreck”, or
- 25 bottles of kid’s watercolor paint, or
- 30 paint brushes, or
- 72 colored pencils, or
- 144 crayons, or
- 200 sheets of 9×12 inches sketch paper, and
- endless joy of reading and art marking
